Ship 30 for 30 Is a Catalyst
I've found that participating in Ship 30 for 30 leads to other opportunities and outcomes (especially in this cohort, for me).

Before we get into the essay, let's define catalyst:

A catalyst is something that causes activity, an event, or change.

In this case, I'm referring to things beyond the 30 days of shipping. Of course Ship 30 for 30 will (hopefully) lead to its intended goal.

But beyond that, I've found that participating in Ship 30 for 30 leads to other opportunities and outcomes (especially in this cohort, for me).

Ship 30 for 30 Has Contributed to the Following

Let's start with this cohort. At the very beginning of it I wrote an essay called How to NOT Launch an Email Newsletter: A Guide.

My Newsletter: App Chat

Less than 2 weeks later, I launched my newsletter App Chat. By writing about the process a few times, it helped me to follow through and just launch the thing.

The NewbLetter Community

Shortly after starting my newsletter I asked on Twitter whether other newbies would be interested i some sort of group where we could help each other out.

A mere 2 days later I had the major pieces in place. There are now 10 people in the NewbLetter community, helping me figure out what it can become.

Possible Future Directions

Depending how both of those aforementioned ventures go, I've got some other (related) ideas I could pursue.

Ship 30 for 30 creates the habit of showing up daily and being less fearful of putting work out there.

If you've participated in Ship 30 for 30, have you found the experience to be a catalyst for other endeavours and opportunities?
